The Heart Connection Childrens Cancer Programs Message Board/Chat Guidelines for Privacy and Safety:

Thank you for using our message board! To protect the safety of everyone online, please take a moment to read the information below before you begin using our message board. Violations may result in your posts being removed, getting a warning, or loosing your ability to use our message board.:

You must be at least 14 years of age or older to use our message board.
Many portions of our message board are set up for specific groups and are password protected. Do not attempt to enter an area designated for a group that you are not a part of. Passwords will be provided by the Administrator. Please do not share passwords.
We hope that you will respect the confidentiality of others while on this message board. However, please remember that once you post information online it is permanently there forever for everyone to see. Use caution when sharing personal information with others. Please do not use profanity on any of our message boards.
Sharing constructive, helpful information about medical facilities and providers is acceptable. (I.E. sharing where the best parking is at a specific hospital). However, sharing negative information about specific individuals or institutions is not acceptable.
Many families find religion to be a helpful tool when coping with cancer. Religious resources may be shared, but recruiting others to join specific religious or forcing religious opinions on others is not acceptable.
Sharing upcoming events via this forum is included, including fundraisers. However, planning fundraisers via this forum is not acceptable.
This forum is monitored, but it is impossible to monitor every minutes of every day. We cannot guarantee that you will never encounter inappropriate material. You can help us by reporting inappropriate material to the administrator, and supervising your children when they are online.
Bullying, intimidating, or harassing other users is not appropriate. It is also inappropriate to post content that is hateful, threatening, or sexual in any way.
Do not share your account log-in information or transfer your account to another user.
